Annelies Planteijdt (1956, Rotterdam, NL) studied at the Technical school, Schoonhoven and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Her designs are part of big public collections like the Stedelijk Museum in 's Hertogenbosch, Het Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and Het Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. She received many awards for her work amongst which the Friedrich Beckerpreis (Hanau, DE), the Herbert Hofmann prize (München, 2006) and an honourable mention at the international silverart competition ‘Absolute Beauty?' in Legnica (PL).
Movement, repetition and transformation are central elements in the work of Planteijdt.
