HOKO was founded in 2002 by Alvin Ho and Clara Koh.
Graduates of the Masters in ‘Conceptual Design in Context’ at the Design Academy Eindhoven, their studio is currently based in Singapore.
HOKO is a research platform focusing on investigations towards material and immaterial conditions that make up our experience of the everyday. The program is developed in response to questions on how the role and practice of design today can move beyond its perceived perimeters. The atelier hopes to cultivate an open-ness and ability to un-know, bringing about a heightened curiosity towards all phenomena which can lead to potential applications within the creative field.
